Indigo Park Canada is donating $10,000 to support relief and recovery efforts for individuals, families and communities affected by the ongoing wildfires across the Okanagan region. As wildfires continue to impact communities across British Columbia’s Okanagan region, Indigo Park Canada is supporting local relief and recovery efforts through donations to three organizations providing critical assistance to those affected. The contributions will help provide immediate assistance to those affected while supporting longer-term community recovery and resilience.

Organizations Supported Through Our Donation.

Mamas for Mamas, headquartered in Kelowna, is a specialized poverty relief agency supporting mothers, caregivers and families facing difficult circumstances. In response to the current wildfires, the organization is providing support to displaced families, including groceries, baby essentials, clothing and hygiene supplies.

The SOS Wildfire Response Fund, established by the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen, was created in response to the wildfires affecting Summerland and surrounding communities. The fund works with local governments, charities and community organizations to identify emerging needs, with donations remaining in the region to support affected residents and community recovery.

The United Way British Columbia Wildfire Recovery Fund supports communities throughout the province with immediate relief as well as longer-term recovery and resilience. Funding provides essential supplies, temporary accommodations, outreach services and other resources identified by communities as needs evolve.
